B-movie trailer insprired to build buzz surrounding the Kmart Halloween collections of costumes, brand candy and décor. I played with dutch angles, distressed film, diverse and classic wipe scene transitions, de-saturated color and eerie music all in an effort to create our perfect Halloween.
I also did very credible imitation of a an old B-Movie trailer VO for the presentation and rough cut.
The client told me the creative performed the best out of any Halloween TV in the history of KMART.
How do you feature food for a retail store not known for food, without being able to use photography, and with low/no budget? Simple icons for the meal deals (which I illustrated)… and Kmart sold out each weekend the spot(s) ran.
